ANNOTATION
Design mode "Dental Database" allows you to design the inlay regardless of the shape of the prepared tooth. After removing the optical impression of the prepared tooth with its adjacent teeth, the system automatically calculates 3D model.
Entering administrative data
Click on the "Neu" key. In the dialog box that appears, enter patient data or select an already registered patient to develop the restoration. Confirm the selection by clicking on the "OK" button.
Selecting the type of restoration
In the "Neue Restauration" dialog box, you select a view restoration "Inlay, Onlay, Teilkrone" (Inlay, onley, partial crown),
"Zahndatenbank" (Dental Database), as the design mode, and the tooth number for restoration. Confirm by clicking "OK"
Removing the optical impression 3D-model
Check again the model for no errors. Now you need to "trim" the model. This will turn off the image of neighboring teeth. For this, it is necessary to draw cut lines between the prepared tooth and the adjacent teeth. Trimming allows for optimal fitting of the approximate contact. It is important not to "prune" the prepared tooth with a cut line.
Entering the structural elements - entering the border of the prepared tooth
Use the edge finding function to enter the border of the prepared tooth. Begin with the cervical segment and complete the entry of each cervical and occlusal segment by double-clicking the cursor (red dots). Confirm the entry by clicking on the "Weiter" icon
Storing of the structure. Now you need to check the automatically aligned standard form of the tab. Individualization of morphological characters as well as proximal and occlusal contacts, is performed using the "Design" tools.
Edit the lines of restoration. Click the cursor in the Design window on the Edit key. A variety of design lines appear on the screen. Check the starting points and shape of the construction lines and eliminate gross deviations.
Output of proximal contacts on the screen. Display the distal image. Turn off the image of adjacent teeth using the key
"Trim", turn on the contact image using the "Contact" key and turn on the "Scale" tool. An approximate surface with blue and green markings appears on the screen.
Completion of the construction:
- leveling off the occlusal side;
- tracing the contour of the occlusal surface
- viewing mode before milling
