Annotation

Replication differs from correlation only in that it allows imposing the occlusal surface of another tooth or mirroring the occlusal surface of the tooth on the opposite (contralateral) side of the jaw. The principles of working with lines of copying the surface and assessing the quality of the overlay are similar to those when using the correlation technique. When using any design methods, the final modeling of the restoration is done manually using various virtual tools.

Classification of approximal contacts

1. pinpoint (characteristic of young patients, with high interdental papillae);

2. spherical;

3. planar (typical of elderly patients, with shortened interdental papillae).

The “Design” window is located in the lower corner of the screen. Virtual tools "Edit", "Form", "Drop", "Scale", "Shape", "Position", "Rotate".

It is logical to carry out at first major corrections of the position “Position”, “Rotate”, the size of “Scale”, by drawing the restriction lines “Edit” proposed by the system. Using the specified tools, an optimal fitting of the restoration workpiece, proposed by the system to the virtual model, is performed. Next, the final individualization of the morphology of the restoration is carried out using the tools "Form", "Drop", "Shape", indicated by the buttons of the same name in the "Design" window.
